thinking of getting rid of my safe, as all of my guns dont fit for one. I dont have any children, and i have all of my fire arms on my homeowners with a 200 deductable. So if i did suffer from a break in, i would not be left with nothing.

thinking of splitting the shoe room with the wife, and just putting up some racks like a war room so i can see them all on the wall.

thoughts?

You can use a safe for other things too (docs, valuables, etc.) if you were to upgrade to bigger one. Go slightly bigger than what you anticipate.
I wont go into to details, but I was robbed a few years back (look it up in OT if you want). I had a cheapo safe that was to keep my guns away from my young kids, but thats all it did. I was lucky no crimes were committed with my guns and I got all of them back (thank you PC Sheriff).
I would up grade to a slightly bigger safe and use it just for weapons related stuff. Get a safety deposit box at your bank for docs and whatever. If your still lacking room see if your local range can help out with storage (I think some do for a monthly fee).
