Couldn't vouch for poke or no poke. With my 235 tires I thought the 37 offset looked great. It didn't poke. With the bigger 255 you would probably see some of the tread poking a bit. Depends on your alignment too. I had a pretty aggressive alignment (-2.5 degrees of camber rear and 2.25 up front). You can always be safe with the higher offset. I bought 42 originally but then wishing I bought the lower offset and ended up using 5mm spacers to get a little lower offset. It's all a learning curve man. And once you figure out the look you want you will be able to do the math on back spacing and offset to always find a wheel that fits to your liking.
