Had one come in today, I'm a service advisor for sears auto. She comes in, wants to have us put a tire she has in the trunk on her car.
Ok no biggie, go to pull the car into a bay, garbage covered the entire floorboards. I had to move trash so it wasn't messing with the pedals, went to shut the door and it dropped 3 inches while trying to close it. Power steering was non existent(it was a late 90s or 00 lumina) same with the brakes, had to basically stand on the pedal to stop that hunk of junk. And her turn signal lever was broken, always blinked for left turn, lift it and the right blinker is on.
Anyways, the tech comes out and shows me the tire she wants put on the car, completely bald and doesn't hold air.
I go and tell her, the response I get "oh, so I can't use that tire? It didn't look that bad" no lady you can't. Her inspection is due next month. Hopefully that rolling death trap is off the road soon enough.
Scary thing is apparently worse cars have come in.
