Default Review: Cobb Stage 1 vs Torqued Performance Stage 1

2012 WRX, bone stock except for tune.

I purchased the cobb AP because I didn't like the stock tune at all. Not smooth, not consistent, and very unsafe. I got the AP and didn't look at any other tuning options because I just wanted a "plug and play" tune to get rid of stock tune.

Got the AP, loaded up the Stage 1 91ACN map, and it was a minor (power) difference from stock. Definitely felt smoother and that hiccup during acceleration was gone, but still wasn't as smooth as I was hoping. And it really didn't feel like there was much more power over stock. I was also getting knock no matter which gas station I chose.

I decided to go with the torqued performance tune after reading so many good things about it. Loaded it up to my AP, flashed it, then went for my first datalog. I IMMEDIATELY noticed the power difference over the cobb. It is VERY noticeable. With this tune, it it sooooooooooo smooth and actually pushes you in the back of your seat (unlock stock or cobb). With the power I noticed, I was worried I was knocking or it wasn't safe (especially since I'm on crappy california gas).

Well, here are my logs. These are my logs after I flashed the "base" TP map. Eric from TP hasn't even touched them yet, so I expect this minor knock to be gone as soon as he sends me an updated tune. Overall though, from a/f correction, ignition timing, knock, etc, it looks much safer than the cobb tune already.
