People make a much bigger fuss about the "inefficiencies" of UEL and the "moar p0wr" performance of EL than actually exists. BOTH are a significant improvement over both stock and the Grimmspeed ported manifold with crossover pipe. Compared to those gains, the differences between EL and UEL are pretty minimal, at least according to that ~10 header dyno shootout.
Since this is built motor forum I'll add that the el/uel equality is on turbo stuff only. On n/a the el design is superior, all other things equal.
