No ecu should be constantly adjusting certain values to make up for that. Now if I protuned a car for 100ft and its at 5k and you went to a dyno before and after you may see a slight power loss, but nothing bad will happen.
Again reason why certain cars can't make it up is because the air gets thinner. Thinner air for na car is harder to get into the motor, making it struggle. Turbo though your compressing the air into the motor so your constantly giving it plenty of air so it doesn't struggle nearly as much. Again don't worry about.
