I am coming to this forum, to ask for your help with some work that I am doing, for the benefit of the EJ207 community.
Although I was oftenly checking the Sti of Japan site, recently a bunch of information was brought to our attention, under the chapter called Group N homologation.
There is a good ammount of technical information, that I want to compile, to help myself and others better understand these awesome cars.
But before I begin, I want to make sure that this information is applicable.
And here is my question:
When a company like Subaru, decides to hommologate a car for Group N, how much leeway do they have, to deviate from the stock vehicle that is sold to the masses and who's engines we swap in?
What about group A?
How much would they be allowed to tamper with and in what areas?
This would allow us to assess which of the drawings shown and dimensions presented can be taken as applicable to our engines.
