General Altimax Arctic?

both in 205/50R17

Pittsburgh winters have been light recently or have good road clearing. Used WinterSport 3D's on a previous FWD car with no problems. Hesitant about the Altimax's because they're not performance winters. In the snow I'm sure they're better but I don't want the car to turn into a marshmallow when the roads are dry and clean.
Living in Pittsburgh I'd go with the 3D's in the stock 235/45/17's because I personally don't see a point in getting a performance winter but going narrower than stock size.

I live near Ebensburg which is approx 75mins east of you and it's a completely different world up here during the winter. I plan on getting some 18's for summer so I just got 235/45/17 Altimax for my stock wheels.
