So I just went over the 2500 mile mark on my ej22t stroker build. Its been running great on e85 and 25 psi on a conservative tune. Did a quick pull mid way up in 3rd and bam, busted coolant hose. Towed car home and pulled the motor to find this
Do you think it would be worth repairing or just replace the ej22t shortblock? I was using a cometic head gasket and it looked as though the gasket failed between the second and bottom layer, then preceeded to melt through to the coolant passage. This carnage took about 2 seconds or less. Once the coolant hose blew I cut the engine.
