I replaced my front ball joints, outer tie rods, and wheel bearings with one other friend, successfully.
I do as much a I can myself, but there are many specialty tools that I don't have, or have access to. Sure I could buy them, but why buy a $50-$100 tool just to use it once?

I could make a pretty big list of the things I've done myself so far, and I've only owned my car 1 year. Learn something? I'm here on NABISCO everyday, reading different things trying to learn about my car. Hell, most people my age (I'm 18.) don't even change their own oil, let alone all the other stuff I've done and research about.
