I'm quite sure their production pieces are exactly what you have described. But the particular axle back I was referring to actually was made with painted steel and a stainless Aero resonator joined with crude looking mig welds. I was very shocked to see that, as I have heard nothing but good things about Moore and people on here seem to love them.
BTW, one can purchase the exact same materials made to construct that axle back (on sites such as Verocious Motorsports) without any discount for less than $100. Moore charged that customer $390 (materials + labor). Ouch
