Well in the 5sp since the diff is mechanical rather than electrical (controlled) i don't see how vdc would do much other than through wheel braking or cutting engine power.

The few times i have tried to do donuts on gravel or whatever they are called in your post of the world, i have been able too. It is my understanding than vdc shouldn't allow this to happen.
