It definitely sounds like it is coming from the strut top area, more so than anywhere else there are suspension components. It is also not just one side, both sides have clunked.
I had to zip my 19mm top nuts with an impact wrench to snug them down. I believe it tightened them down a bit more that I couldn't get with a wrench. Worth a try but would check torque specs to prevent over-tightening.
