Which chip do you have? If WCH, you were able to read/flash the ecu with it?
I honestly could not tell you which chip I have, but I can tell you it's not the same used by any others I've seen on this forum. My car is an 02 WRX, which if the stories are to be believed, are the ones that absolutely require the modifications to the circuit board AND the voltage modifications to the pins.
Not the same as mine. Also, you own an 04, which didn't have the timing/cable issues the 02-03's had. Or so I assume based on a LONG list of anecdotal evidence on this forum.
