you won't get a new car off the bat. If you're really THAT upset, sell the car with rod knock, take the hit, and find something else.
Or trade it in to the same dealer that's doing the work. Either way I don't think they are going to rush to finish the job. Your inconvenience isn't really their problem especially if they have you a car of the lot to use while yours is being worked on since the extra time doesn't really cost them any extra money
