However, if your state requires you to have TPMS, then you need them regardless of who does installation. I live in Missouri so TPMS is not required to pass inspection, but for the states who require them, just place your summer tires on. I have never heard anyone getting a ticket for not having TPMS installed.
That seems to be correct. I just order them off of TR mounted and balanced without TPMS so I will just have to swap them onto the car. I am glad my inspection is in October so hopefully I can pass with flying colors with my summers on!
