Well that was a challenge! It's extremely hard to do in Lightroom and takes a lot of trial and error. I like the way it came out though. I re framed it as you suggested and turned down the red luminance. I think the color is spot on now.
And here's another of the same shot you critiqued last time except this one has the right focus.
Both of these are looking really good, although in the second shot I'd clone out the dark spot in front of the driver's side front tire and the little tire mark in front of the passenger's side front tire. I also think the driver's side of the car in the second pic is a little too dark compared to the front.
Overall, I think you've reached a point where in order to take the next step forward in your processing, you've got to be able to use layers. If anything, this is a testament to the amount that you can do from solely within Lightroom, and that's really awesome.
