If you take the vac line from the Fuel pressure regulator off of the intake manifold, it should be a constant pressure ~43-ish psi.

With that vac line attached to the FPR it will "add" the intake manifold pressure (in gauge psi, not absolute psi) to that 43-ish psi. That should give you ~43 + (pressure in psig... which will be a negative number at idle.)

Typical EJ20 vac @ 750 RPM idle is around 17-18 in Hg, which is around -8 to -9 psig, so idle fuel pressure should be just under 35ish psi.

Obviously it's easiest to check and verify by popping that vac line off the intake manifold, since it should be a constant value just under 45 psi.
