You do engine builds and you have to ask this?
Unless you are running a very large turbo the TGV's aren't really that restrictive. The main reason people started doing deletes was because with a large turbo running a lot of boost it was physically pushing the butterflies closed.
On a Stage 2 or close you really shouldn't have to do much if any tuning at all. I would think that once you disable the DTC's it will more than likely resolve your starting issue. If for some reason it doesn't then its probably something mechanical.
After you flash a DBW car, there is an actual procedure to start without having to crank and crank it. You are suppose to turn the key off, disconnect the test plug, turn the key on and wait about 10-15 seconds ( if you listen you can here the TB and stuff cycle), after that it will fire right up without cranking forever.
Also for the future, I try not to ever disconnect the fuel lines right at the rails. I personally like to take them off up from there a little where the hose clamps are. If you have a hard time keeping track, you can pull one from one side of the back connector and one from the other side. Then loop them so that A) fuel won't leak from the manifold, and it won't continue to leak from the lines coming from the car. B) You there is no question as to which line goes where.
