My AMR inlet was dimpled for the power steering if that's what you mean? I think the problem lies with the header/uppipe. That's the only variable that can change between setups. That's why you see some people saying there turbo inlet fit perfectly and others say its impossible. No way could I have gotten the turbo inlet on and secured without modifying the uppipe (moved turbo half an inch towards the driver side).
As long as they look at it in a way that they will have to modify things it will work. If they look at the product and say it should fit but doesn't it will never fit. It might be pricey to make it fit though. Hence rotated. Do the math, see where it gets you.
Usually stock location turbo's sale for more then a rotated turbo, even if its a worse performer. Its the convenience factor.
