So I am dropping in a new shortblock fresh from Subaru w/ 1year warranty, all new engine gaskets, valve job, copperspray gaskets, ARP head studs, decking heads.
The only other surprises I found are that I have what looks like Perrin front shifter brushings, and the infamous crack in the VF39 turbo's exhaust manifold.
I already have a new set of Kartboy front and rear shifter brushings, is it worth swaping out the old Perrin and putting in the new Kartboys? I am going to put in the rear one regardless. :thumb:
Are you using a new set of stock pistons or upgrading?
And I would replace the Perrin bushings. They could be a bit worn and it can't hurt to put in freshies.
