I think all the confusion as to what cars come with clutch pedal switches and what one don't is because we have people here from different country's. i_c_the_light is from New Zealand and others here from Japan I'm sure they have different requirements for cars there as to if they have clutch switches. In the US almost all manual cars will have the switch, mainly because most Americans are stupid and don't think and like to sue others for things that are there fault, so clutch switches have been required here sense like the 70's. The only cars I have driven with out the switch are old 70's and older stuff and some big heavy duty trucks.
This is a possibility. However, every BMW E30 I have some across has not had the switch including my brothers 1989.
