Yes, my unit is used in all types of Suby's, STi's included but it is rarer to find one in a stock STi.
Usually someone who swaps out the stock STi dccd controller is looking for usb tuning or they want to use it as a track/autox car and want to eliminate the abs.
Sorry I sort of hijacked your thread but I feel that Back Road Runner was providing some contradictory and possibly incorrect info for your situation.
I suspect he has one of my controllers and possibly doesn't know he has one.
But for your situation, I think you need to get a scan of the abs tones on those front axles. Or at least get in there and visually check if the tone rings line up with the sensors. I'd like to think that Forester axles probably have the same ring spacing...but who knows.
Ideally you should probably get the correct axles in there if they are binding at turning extreme's as well.
