about the merit of a supportive mod like a TMIC upgrade even at just stage 1 levels.
I guess my soobie noobie thought process was that bigger TMIC/cooler temps would prolong life/reliability at ANY increased power levels. Kinda like a "give back what you take out" mentality. I already got the PTP turbo blanket, and am debating what intake to go with (cobb sf w/box or AEM).
I totally subscribe to the power mod:supportive mod idea...
Having a bigger intercooler on a stage 1 car is not necessarily going to give any reliability, but it can certainly make sure you are always at optimal timing. You can also possibly add some. Scanning is the #1 key to reliability. If you aren't scanning, you don't care about reliability.
