Im not sure how its going to go having all the stock heatshield stuff... but you will have to get the car up pretty high so that you can get up under the turbo.
After you take off the heat shield, you wrap the blanket around the hot side then you have to get underneath the car and reach up and wire it together.

I ran one wire on the front side of the up pipe and the other on the back side of the up pipe.

if you are good with safety wire and have some safety wire pliers, it helps...
if not, its kinda a pita.
TMIC definitely does not need to come off to remove heatshield. There was plently of room for me to remove my stocker, wrap my turbo, and install the Grimmspeed HS.

However, if you have a buddy, installing the blanket with be 9,000,000x easier than doing it on your own. I was underneath the car, my buddy helped out wrapping the wire around the little nubs on the blanket (not sure if there is a technical term for these) and passing it down to me, so I could pass it up through the other side around/under the turbo.

In my experience, the TMIC is a bitch to get back on once you take it off. Do yourself a favor and don't take it off if a turbo blanket is all you're doing.
