It is such an incredibly easy thing to do. It is a very common thing amateurs do trying to skip steps for no reason. It usually just aggravates you. And all you have to do was unscrew 6 quick screws/bolts.
The removal is indeed quite simple, I personally found the re-installation to be a pita. Fitting it into the IC>TB hose and lining it up with the turbo was a pita for me. Removal is all of about 2 minutes, my re-installation was nearly 45. Like I said, it was my first time, and I replaced the IC>TB hose, but I needed a few beers to get it done.
