Uggghhhhh...Unfortunately, you were right. It's not a plug, its a molded piece that would have to be cut out. How annoying!!! Why they would do this, I don't know...My old 2002 Impreza had removable plugs for the fogs. Grrrr

Thank you for your patience, as I researched your inquiry with the Accessories Engineer. He advised:

Itís not a plug. The piece that looks like a plug is actually molded into the switch panel. You could cut it out but it would look terrible. A new switch panel with an opening for the fog light switch comes with the fog light kit (SOA635089).
