Your generalizations are pretty skewed, and not entirely accurate.
I agree that generilizations are rarely entirely accurate. I have worked for large corporations my whole life and decisions usually are made based upon making money first and all other issues second. Therefore, it's pretty simple, if they make more money selling AT than MT, then MT will lose. This trend is obvious in the USA and I believe it will spread to other places as well. It's only a matter of time. The good thing is that the classic car industry will always keep MT alive.
