^^^What he said. If you really want to know what it takes to make an N/A faster, contact these guys and bring your wallet.

If you want to spend money making your car accelerate faster, go buy a faster car. You could go buy a used wrx for the same money you will spend modifying to a level that you can feel gains. The WRX will be MUCH, MUCH faster.

If you want to drive the car faster, you should tweak the handling instead as you are starting on equal footing with the faster cars. In your price range I would start with a good set of swaybars and endlinks. That or a good set of wheels and tires.
Thanks for the reply. I had replied on my phone but I guess the NASIOC app ate it. I am not going for speed so much as I just like tinkering with the car to make it my own, although I would like to improve MPG since that's my only real complaint with the car. Already got summer wheels/tires that I am happy with. A WRX is in my future once I decide to get rid of this car but I generally hang on to cars for a while (105,000 on this one, 110,000 on my old Audi, 120,000 on my old Volvo). I will keep this one for at least a couple years so that's another reason why I don't want to do anything drastic or expensive.
