No, just apparently complainers. You already tested the car at 36mpg at 60mph so you are not dumb, you know that the EPA numbers are achievable.

Sorry, I don't understand what you are getting at. If you hammer the accelerator on any car, only drive it short distances starting with a cold engine, or drive it faster than 55mph, the MPG's go down.

The fact that you notice this MPG decline with your impreza is not news to anyone but you, and probably accounts for the fact that Consumer Reports is not complaining about the MPG's from their testing of the Impreza.

Neither Subaru nor the EPA provide any guarantee that you can achieve the MPG's stated no matter how you decide to drive the car. No manufacturer does.
