About a year ago I bought my 2012 WRX, and I love it as much today as I did then. I've been shopping around for a new shifter boot and I've started to think lately about the height of my shifter. I ordered the Subaru short shifter from the factory but I've started to have the suspicion it was never installed and I just got the normal factory one. Is there anyway to tell from the actual length of the shifter? For some reason I just thought there was a linkage difference, I could be wrong though. If I measure from the silver center console in front of the change tray it's 6-3/4" high. If I measure from the front of the boot (where the faux leather connects to the console) its 6-1/4". If there's no length difference, how can I tell?
