Your oil capacity is 4.2 Quarts, you put in 5.28. That is over a quart over filled. That is more then enough to give you excessive burn off.
Coolant overflow being on the low side is not a big alarm. Overtime you will burn off/evaporate some coolant from the system. You can simply add water to the system to get it back to above that mark and be fine. You even said the exhaust wasn't sweet smelling, and you've not mentioned one bit of a leak.
For someone getting so up tight and being so "great" you sure aren't listening to people that know the car.
Why do you keep saying his oil capacity is 4.2 quarts? His vehicle in question is a 2011 WRX. Let me educate you:
02-12 Turbo EJ20/25 = 4.8 quarts
02+ Non turbo EJ25 is 4.2 quarts.
By the way, I hope you're not filling your 18g semi build EJxx with only 4 quarts. Not going to last long running almost a quart low.
