Is that the 50mm you speak of? I love the Bokeh on my 135 f/2.
Have you considered the ef-s 10-22mm? I had it way back when I had my 20D. Compared to the 17-40mm I have now for my 5D the 10-22 was a damn fine lens. Much better edge to edge sharpness.
