Thanks for recommending the Gaggia, Nate. It just arrived and I pulled a quick shot (guessing with the grind fineness and tamp) and to my surprise my very first pull tasted great! I was expecting to have hours of fiddling with it. The build quality is excellent and all the important bits seem pretty heavy duty.
I'm currently using some locally roasted espresso beans (2 weeks old now), when I run through them I'll have to order some WCR.
