Always had loads of fun like this in my old Corolla (handbrake to initiate slide). Trying to still figure out how to get sideways in the snow with AWD. Well the actual getting sideways is easy enough, if you just turn sharply (though still not as easy as using handbrake in a FWD). But as far as the power-out to return aspect, not sure if pointing the front wheels and hitting the gas will return the car from a sideways slide since the rear wheels are working against you in that case. Anyway so much more control with AWD and snow tires (usually just point where you want to go and push the gas), but the snow drifting aspect still needs to be ironed out coming from being used to FWD techniques.
