I went with the CAI because it should give you colder intake temperatures, and because it's not as loud as the SRI. Plenty of whoosh, and when you're getting on it it gives you a nice sharp cough when the BPV opens.

I don't know about an '06, but I'm at stage 2 in my 2011 and I feel like the CAI gives me a little more up top. Regardless, I like the sound and the look and pretty much everything about it, so it was well worth the money for me. I think the OP has made it pretty clear he's going for the sound mostly, and he knows what he's getting. I've never understood people on this forum that feel compelled to give "advice" that's neither needed nor asked for.
