The brembos are not only aesthetic but performance as well. Also keep in mind more brake pad options being available.
As for the 06/07 4/2 pots, the fronts will bolt up if you have the wrx brake caliper brackets and I don't remember if the front Wrx rotors will work either. The rear calipers will require a bracket from knsbrakes/kartboy for sure and again I'm unsure about the rotors (this is if you already have disc brakes in the rear).
