You do need to drop the transmission a couple inches to give enouch clearance for the ratchet. I would say do it on a warmer day, jack the car up plenty high, use lots of lube, and drink a good few cold ones. I had trouble lining up the rear bushing. I blamed it on the short shifter so I removed that and the linkage seemed to loosen up enough to get the bolts to line up.
