A pair of 2013 Lincolns have the tech smarts to drive unaided for miles at a time on the interstate. The Lincoln MKS sedan and Lincoln MKT SUV combine electric power steering, adaptive cruise control, and lane keep assist to prevent you from running into the rear of cars ahead and to steer you back into your own lane if you veer across the lane markings. These and a handful of similarly outfitted cars are self-driving only in simple situations (interstates with good lane markings). But it has Lincoln worried that idiot American drivers would try, so thereís one more sensor that notices if you donít have hands on the wheel and rats you out. The same also tells if youíre falling asleep.
