Forged pistons require a closer attention to detail to achieve proper clearances, and that requires a trusting relationship with a skilled machinist. They will hone and drop in a set of forged pistons. This will not result in a much better motor as the rings will probably wear out sooner than you'd be happy with.
Either fix it and sell the car, or drive another car while you properly build the motor.
I have access to a set of forged internals and a block just dont have the knowledge or time to assemble and swap my top end. I am a confident with bolt on crap but internals in this delicate eggshell motor called the ej whatever I'm worried I'll bliw that one too. If there is anyone who has the knowledge and maybe a few weekend days to spare I could really use the help.
