Just something I noticed.
Ice tires tend to have tighter tread blocks than snow tires to compensate for the greater number of sipes. In some conditions, particularly at slower speeds, the smaller gaps between the tread blocks will clog up with snow and your tires become big snowballs. At faster speeds the snow/slush will the thrown out for effectively.
