Never understand why people think the stock WRX internals will hold a 1.5xt-r. Just never saw the rationale. I would love to do a setup like this, but I think I'm only brave enough to go 18g or 20g tops on the stock block. Either that or go e85 or water/meth injection with the VF43 and see what we could get out of that. Too many options.
I believe a conservative tune on a Dom1.5 is easier on the motor/tranny than a cranked up VF tune. You make the same torque, but hold it further out toward redline. Makes good power without shocking anything too terribly.
Just don't get greedy.
