Not a fan of JBL at all, know any other brands that might work?

I've been doing a lot of searching lately for speakers and all things stereo for my car and http://www.crutchfield.com has been pretty useful to me. Not sure how you'll like it. I don't think they have the best prices but they have good info.
Hope that helps

It does, I likely will not buy from them, but I forgot about how much info they also have. Thanks

The idea is to go to iaperformance, get the spacers, then use normal depth speakers w/o any issues...
I used the IAPerformance spacers, then padded those out from the door even more using about 5-8 layers of thin matting material, then used longer screws from the hardware store to squeeze it all into place. I fit 2.75" depth speakers into 2000 GC doors w/o any issue =)
You should be able to grab anything around 2.5" depth and fit it easily.

Is 2000 GC a 2000 Grand Caravan? I'm not familiar with GC as an abbreviation yet...
Anyways, even once I get spacers, the main problem I am having is finding speakers that are less than 4" in depth. All the ones I start to like a 4" depth or greater. It makes me

every time.
I was also wondering what size and brand of speaker you have there.
