Yes, that harness is a real pain because everything is integrated. It took me a month of Sundays to get everything separated. Once I had everything separated, I had a good 15-20 pounds of wiring that was not needed
Good luck with the swap and props for doing everything on your own! I know where you're coming from, and while it is A LOT of work, the accomplishment you will feel when said and done will be undoubtedly worth it!

I have everything marked that is required to run the engine (standalone ECU) and a bunch of stuff that is optional (AC/CEL/bunch of other accessories). Also all the wires that must be merged if you're going that route instead of a full harness swap. It is all color coded.
