You could always rely on a dedicated Subaru Group. Facebook makes it much easier to get a group together and share info instead of having to keep up with a thread full of words.
...buy anyway here is an update. We don't meet right now because its cold and most of the group doesn't like to stand around in a parking lot when its cold. If it snows we meet to slide around but usually just text each other that are local to the Greensboro area. There is a gigantic South East meet going on at the end of April at the Tail of the dragon. Thread linked below. It is starting to warm up so we will prolly start meeting once a month or so in the near future. The easiest meet for me to personally attend is cars and coffee. All the info for that is on Facebook so thats fun.
