Use liquid nitrogen, it will really cool down the metal a lot. And don't worry about the metal fatiguing or cracking. It's metal!! It's strong!!

If you don't wrap your pipes and mitigate heat soak, any cooling you do right before the run will be gone before the lights turn yellow. That's kind of the point of a spray that works while you're driving, so you get the instantaneous cooling. So I guess if you rigged up a few bottles like that. Then you could have a laptop in your passenger seat that says "DANGER TO MANIFOLD!!" as you spray, right before your floor board drops out for no reason...
