If the TPMS telltale light is flashing when you first start the car, you have a dead sensor. When its cold, pressures drop a little more easily so just check the pressure more often. If the pressure is approx 15% lower than spec the light will illuminate. Adjust to 33 psi and after driving for about three mins or less the light will clear out if it was just a pressure issue. I would never pay a shop 45 for a sensor scan. It's literally a two min job at most and free at a lot of tire shops (don't go to the dealer for tire issues). The sensor itself runs about 35-40 dollars at the last shop I worked at with a 14 dollar install. The sensors have to be relearned with the linked ID numbers (TPMS relearn scanner does it in no time)
