Even with perfect insulation from the turbo & engine, an efficient intercooler should still be getting hot, as heat is being transferred from intake air and into the thermal mass of the intercooler, right? At least until the air from the hood scoop cools it down?

And then conversely, an ice cold intercooler after a WOT run would mean that it the intercooler isn't doing its job, not absorbing the heat from the intake air, and serving as a poor heat sink...

Given the above, do we have any idea how the PW performs vs the stock TMIC in terms of the air temp actually inside the intake manifold?
