I dont think these companies will care if our cars burn oil if we dont tell them that we find the loose qc standards unacceptable. You dont have to be rude, just not accepting their cya statements will rile them up well enough. trust me.
I disagree with their statement that "all cars burn oil these days". However I will agree that all cars CAN burn oil these days. It does suck to have one that does, however you would be hard pressed to find ANY manufacturer that will fix your engine for anything less than Subaru's threshold. Just to let you know, they don't care if you say their QC standards are unacceptable - no offense.
