Just drill out the spot welds in the clip, and then spot weld back on to the shell. After that, you drill the necessary holes, and plug the ones not needed. I did see his post unfortunatly I have already cut my clip up a while ago. I saved the panels and this weekend I trimmed them up and am preparing to weld and cut the firewall. I may only cut the drivers side for the sterring colum and the brake booster. the passenger side i think i can trim and patch without the need to cut the firewall.
